The Helios system is the first comprehensive surveillance system that is solar-powered and wireless

MicroPower Technologies Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, will demonstrate the rich functionality of its Helios video surveillance system at ASIS 2012, being held Sept. 10-13 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. At MicroPower booth #659, conference attendees can see first-hand the drastic reduction in deployment cost and time that the system offers without compromising performance, video quality or reliability. The system will also be on display in the Monitor Dynamics booth #2323.

The Helios system is the first comprehensive surveillance system that is solar-powered and completely wireless. It consists of the MPT2500, a solar-powered, wireless video surveillance camera and the MPT2700, a wireless video hub that receives video and data from the cameras. Together, these components coordinate transmission from the cameras via an external directional antenna to the video management software (VMS). A directional antenna provides reliable video transmission in a variety of environments.
