Safety and Security Asia 2011 exhibitor Omeio has launched a HDCCTV camera into the market with positive results

 Safety & Security Asia {SSA) 2011 exhibitor OMEIO launched a new High-definition Closed-circuit Television (HDCCTV) on 29 April 2011. The new surveillance-adapted HD CCTV, which features higher resolution with competitive price, boasts a camera/monitor/DVR interface standard {SMPTE).

Together with her partner MicroDigital a leading digital security solution provider in South Korea, OMEIO stated that the product is one of the first in South-east Asia during the product launch at Holiday Inn Atrium Hotel, Singapore.

Introduced in 2009, the HD CCTV can transmit highest-quality video in the market, up to distances of 160{720p)/100{1080p)m from a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). HD CCTV DVRS and cameras have the same architecture and GUIs as CCTV DVRs and cameras.

Security customers are demanding video feeds with higher resolution for the least cost. HD CCTV cameras promise much lower total cost of ownership than megapixel IP cameras. The potential savings is especially great as it only requires adding a few high resolution cameras to an existing CCTV system.

Some of the notable benefits are;

  • High detail - HD CCTV provides high resolution images with more details than a non-megapixel camera.
  • Plug & Play - HD CCTV delivers big conveniences for users as it can be installed by simple plug & play like conventional analog cameras.

Non-Compressed Full HD Video -HD CCTV video signals are not compressed or packetised before transmission, so no compression image artifacts, delayed transmission or frame interruptions are observed.
