LILIN, a world leading manufacturer and solution provider of video surveillance products headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, announced recently that its newly launched IP camera, ZR6122, has become one of the first to pass UL-2802 certification. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is one of the oldest global independent safety science agencies established in 1894 with more than a century of expertise, and provides certification on the safety of products.

UL launched the first digital camera performance UL-2802 standard in 2013, defining a method to assess image quality of a video camera’s ratings through a series of performance-based tests. Network cameras are rated on the following parameters – image resolution, TV distortion, relative illumination, dynamic range, maximum frame rate, gray level, sensitivity, bad pixel, and veiling glare.
