DSC GS3055-IGW GSM universal wireless alarm communicator works by connecting the control panel to the GSM network to provide protection against accidental line cuts caused by storms, construction or deliberate tampering. In the event of an alarm, the communicator assesses its connection to the PSTN phone line, and if that has failed, they it automatically connect to the GSM network to send an alarm signal to the monitoring station. The communicator is able to use the GPRS data channel of the GSM network to ensure low-cost, high-speed and reliable alarm communications.
