The test nights will include demonstrations of different quality images captured using different combinations of equipment - cameras, lenses and illuminators - in night time conditions. The equipment tested will include the latest Ganz cameras and illuminators - both infra-red and white light - and specialist Computar lenses. Those attending will also be able to find out more about the essential techniques of setting up CCTV systems that deliver best quality results in the most challenging lighting conditions.
"There's no doubt that CCTV faces it's biggest test at night, when the risk of crime is high, and when systems really have to struggle to capture useable images," says Michael Grufferty of CBC.
"All-too-often people trust to luck, or accept poor image capture at night. Our test nights will demonstrate how installers and system planners can avoid mistakes, use illumination more effectively, and design CCTV systems that work perfectly in all lighting conditions."
