The organization's founding Chairman, Gordon Ferrie, expressed delight at Bell Security's sponsorship commitment to the launch and development of CameraWatch: "It's clear there is a need for an organization dedicated to promoting the legal and effective use of CCTV. Bell Security's support and input, as a business that has been involved at the core of this sector for over 20 years, will be an important asset in helping us achieve our goals."
CameraWatch is a not-for-profit, self-funded, advisory body. It has been constituted with the support of the industry's regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office and anticipates building membership from groups including CCTV installers, manufacturers, suppliers, as well as end users, legal bodies and local authorities.
