Lucas Lee, MD of Samsung, gave an insight how Samsung perceives the European security marketplace

Over 200 security industry professionals attended Samsung Techwin's Vision Conference at The Westin Dragonora Resort, Malta.

The theme for the conference was Imagination, Innovation, Integration, and this was reflected in the presentations by senior managers at Samsung Techwin who provided an overview of what the company is going to achieve during the year and into the future.

Samsung will be rapidly expanding its POLiS IP network product range, including a new line of Full High Definition cameras and an enhanced range of network video recorders and will also give greater emphasis on its ability to offer fully integrated security solutions to match the varying requirements of different market sectors.

To this end, the company unveiled its innovative Total Security Management (TSM) platform which offers a fully scalable end-to-end Samsung solution for a host of applications from a single site solution up to a full city-wide management system.

Benefiting from the latest network technology, TSM can combine a number of "packages", including surveillance, video servers, storage, network switches, intelligent video analytics, video walls and ANPR, to bring additional benefits to the captured video.

In his presentation, Lucas Lee, Managing Director of Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd, gave an insight into how Samsung perceives the European security marketplace and how it intends to deliver the best products, services and value to its partners and customers. Part of the strategy to achieve this will be a recruitment drive to further expand Samsung's pre and post sales and technical support teams throughout Europe, Russia and CIS and the set-up of a dedicated team to manage large projects.

He highlighted that Samsung IP network products now integrate with over 20 third-party management platforms and that the company is working towards doubling that number this year, to give the vast majority of customers the opportunity, to benefit from using Samsung technology.

"We were delighted that so many of our business partners took time out of their busy schedules to come to Malta to learn about our aspirations for 2011 and beyond," said Lucas Lee. "Our focus on strengthening our IP network capabilities, coupled with a continued trend towards integration which provides our customers with complete solutions that deliver a host of business benefits, was very well received and we are looking forward to another very successful year."
