Sielox LLC announces the Sielox Class™ Crisis Lockdown Alert Status System is now available for any facility. Recent successful deployments in the K-12 market generated significant interest in the application of Sielox Class™ to be adapted for any standalone or campus buildings for business, government, and healthcare.

Karen Evans, President & CEO, Sielox LLC said, “Sielox Class™ was based upon the FEMA Red Green lockdown procedure recommended after Columbine so our initial market was for K-12 schools. However our Business Partners, schools, law enforcement and others pointed out that the benefits of enhanced awareness by Sielox Class™ could be applied to any facility, regardless of size, number of floors or location.”

A recent FBI report stated that nearly 25% of all active shootings are in schools however the majority of incidents occur in businesses, hospitals, government and other facilities.

“Because of the Sielox Class™ system flexibility, the labels for the five color conditions can be changed to match specific needs for each of a building’s tenants or owners. We are piloting systems in banks, hospitals, and government facilities where reducing response time and directing resources to where they are needed most continues to be a priority,” Evans said.

Evans concluded, “Sielox Class™ operates as a stand-alone system using existing browser devices and networks. It also can integrate with existing CCTV, access control and mass notification systems.”

Sielox Class™ provides real-time locations status, updates and notifications to building management and security and First Responders through the use of interactive floor plans, email and text messaging to assist in making split-second decisions. Responders are directed to the problem location and the condition color status allows for the proper resources to respond. Situational awareness is enhanced for Responders to make informed decisions and no longer walk blindly into harm’s way. Sielox Class™ also can indicate medical, missing person, maintenance and other incidents.
