The transformer is the latest toroidal design and the power unit has also been designed to ensure a large margin between maximum rated output current and transformer current limits. The SL505 is a dual power supply, which has a fixed 12V pair of terminals at 2.5A and a variable pair of terminals giving 12V, 13.5V, & 14v at 2.5A. This gives an overall output current of 5A. Each pair of terminals are fitted with a 2.5A fuse.
