  • Motorola to integrate AI into Blue Eye's platform, expanding reach across enterprise sectors.

Motorola Solutions has completed the acquisition of Blue Eye, a Salt Lake City-based company known for its expertise in AI-driven enterprise remote video monitoring (RVM) services.

Blue Eye's technology enhances real-time threat detection and enables live voice interactions to prevent crime, offering verified alerts that improve the responsiveness of law enforcement agencies.

Enhanced Situational Awareness

The software platform by Blue Eye integrates seamlessly with leading cameras and video management systems (VMS), ensuring compatibility with existing security infrastructures.

Their RVM services are supported by 24/7 security operations centers (SOCs), which provide businesses with better situational awareness and access to trend analysis through detailed reporting analytics.

Access to Real-Time Intelligence

“Security professionals know that the challenge isn’t solely identifying the threat; it’s about moving from detection to action in a matter of seconds,” stated Mahesh Saptharishi, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Motorola Solutions.

He noted that acquiring Blue Eye aligns with Motorola's strategy to offer a seamlessly integrated workflow that connects threat detection, verification, and response.

Integration of AI Capabilities

Blue Eye's platform, utilized by sectors, such as retail, manufacturing, critical infrastructure, and commercial real estate, enables business owners to harness real-time data to mitigate risks and enhance profitability.

Motorola Solutions intends to incorporate its advanced AI technologies into Blue Eye's RVM offerings, which will enrich the capabilities of this technology.

For instance, AI-powered detections from Motorola Solutions’ Visual Alerts can be verified by Blue Eye and directly relayed into the incident management system, Inform, to orchestrate a timely response. Additionally, Motorola Solutions plans to leverage its channel partner network to expand Blue Eye's presence across critical enterprise segments.

Impact on Enterprise Security

Steve Jackson, CEO of Blue Eye, expressed that joining Motorola Solutions will accelerate Blue Eye’s mission to provide real-time, proactive security solutions.

“Motorola Solutions’ global scale and deep AI expertise will help expand our reach, advance our solutions and deepen our impact on enterprise security.” The terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed.

Blue Eye provides a comprehensive RVM service powered by AI to help detect threats in real time, enabling live voice talk-downs to deter crime and providing verified alerts to help accelerate law enforcement response.

Enhanced situational awareness

The company’s software platform is interoperable with pioneering cameras and video management systems (VMS), allowing enterprises to integrate with existing security solutions.

These RVM services are managed by 24-hour security operations centers (SOCs) that provide businesses with enhanced situational awareness and includes reporting analytics that highlight activity trends.

Access real-time intelligence

“Security professionals know that the challenge isn’t solely identifying the threat; it’s about moving from detection to action in a matter of seconds,” said Mahesh Saptharishi, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Motorola Solutions, adding "The acquisition of Blue Eye is a key component of our strategic focus to provide a single, tightly integrated workflow that seamlessly connects threat detection, verification and response."

Relied upon by retail, warehouse, manufacturing and distribution centers, critical infrastructure, and commercial real estate owners, Blue Eye’s platform helps business owners access real-time intelligence to help reduce loss or damage, mitigate risk and enhance profitability.

Integrate its advanced AI capabilities

Motorola Solutions plans to integrate its advanced AI capabilities into Blue Eye's RVM platform, further differentiating this technology.
