Airbus and Trimax IT Infrastructure & Services Limited signed a Value Added Reseller (VAR) agreement to support the growth of Airbus’ Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) solutions in India. From now on, Trimax will sell PMR equipment and technology from Airbus in the South Asian country. In recent years, Trimax has become a leading provider of IT services in India in areas including connectivity, data centers, cloud services and system integration. The company is also a provider of industry-specific solutions in sectors such as transportation.

Entering Indian PMR market

“This agreement is key for Airbus to make significant inroads into the Indian PMR market. The company has a large customer base across the country with the kind of customers we wish to address and we see great synergies,” explains Jens Thostrup Head of Marketing and Business Development of Secure Land Communications (SLC) at Airbus. “We are very pleased to be working together and to leverage each other’s strengths regarding technologies and capabilities. This can create a buzz in the Indian market for PMR-based solutions, such as Tetra,” he adds.

Surya Prakash Madrecha, Chairman and Managing Director of Trimax, says: “We are convinced that with the PMR portfolio of Airbus, we will be able to provide Indian PMR customers with some unique and very innovative solutions.”
