Before joining Medtronic, he was with Amazon Lab126, working as the vice president of software engineering for consumer robotics from 2021 to 2023.
His prior experience includes a pioneering role as the chief technology officer at Ford Motor Company between 2017 and 2021. From 2014 to 2017, he held several technical roles at Ford.
Career Background and Educational Credentials
Dr. Washington's career also features a significant tenure at Lockheed Martin Corporation from 2007 to 2014, where he was vice president of the advanced technology center and served as the first chief privacy officer.
His professional journey began with Sandia National Laboratories, where he spent 21 years in various positions, including chief information officer. He is a distinguished graduate of Texas A&M University, holding bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in Nuclear Engineering.
