StoneLock, a global provider of designing and manufacturing biometric access control and identity management solutions, and Boon Edam Inc., a global provider of security entrances and architectural revolving doors, are pleased to announce their integrated presence at the 63rd ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas, Texas from September 26-28. This convergence of the StoneLock identity assurance solution with the Boon Edam tailgating prevention capabilities delivers exceptional overall security for end users.

Secondary Biometric Authentication

Meeting the customer’s need for enhanced security and identity verification, StoneLock and Boon Edam collectively deliver a seamless, integrated solution for secondary biometric authentication. Frequently deployed in high-security areas where identity assurance is required, this integration provides an intuitive and user-friendly experience while meeting the requirements of the most stringent security facilities.

“When building StoneLock products and solutions, our team does so with the primary goal of improving security and access control functions not only for our products but for those we integrate with as well. We are in the business of creating a more secure world and therefore design our products to compliment others that share this mission,” said Colleen Dunlap, CEO and Co-Founder of StoneLock. “The StoneLock Pro integration with the Boon Edam Circlelock is a brilliant example of a highly successful integration that works together to fulfill this goal while meeting the needs of both the consumer for ease of use and the security practitioner for reliable access control.”

"The big upside of today’s biometric tech is that the recognition is super-fast"

Multi-Factor Authentication

“Our customers appreciate seeing completely integrated solutions that include access control, identity management and piggybacking prevention,” said Mark Borto, CEO and President of Boon Edam Inc. “The big upside of today’s biometric tech is that the recognition is super-fast, making our security turnstiles and doors work better – they keep out the unauthorized users but for everyone else, it’s a smooth, fast journey into secure areas. We are delighted to work together with StoneLock to showcase today’s multi-factor authentication in action while here at ASIS.”

ASIS exhibit attendees will have the opportunity to experience the integration of StoneLock Pro with the Boon Edam Circlelock and Turnlock EL first hand on the ASIS exhibitor floor.

Boon Edam Turnlock 200 EL

The Boon Edam Turnlock 200 EL is a transparent, full height turnstile that combines simple and reliable operations with an attractive and transparent design to suit the aesthetic needs of an indoor environment. Verification of identity for entry is gained through the integration with StoneLock Pro proprietary near infrared (NIR) technology, which measures over 2,000 points of facial reflectivity in less than a second.

Boon Edam Circlelock

The Boon Edam Circlelock (wall mount option), a half circular portal with a curved sliding door that attaches to an existing wall and swing door, provides a rigorous identity and piggybacking prevention solution when combined with StoneLock Pro. Upon authorization from an external access control system, the Circlelock opens the primary entry door. Once the user has entered the portal, the StereoVision 2 system determines that the user is alone, which prompts the StoneLock biometric identification solution to validate the identity of the user. When a clear signal is given, the secondary door opens and the user can enter the secured area.
