Skills for Security has inaugurated its seventh specialized training facility in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, welcoming its initial cohort of fire and security apprentices.
This new center has been thoroughly refurbished to provide a contemporary and practical learning environment equipped with advanced resources tailored for the fire and security field.
Hands-On Learning Experience
The facility features purpose-built classrooms and workshop areas that simulate real-world working conditions, granting learners the practical experience they need to swiftly integrate into the workforce.
David Scott, Managing Director of Skills for Security, stated, “With seven centers now in place, we are better positioned to deliver high-quality training at scale, reaching more apprentices and employers across the UK.”
He further emphasized that the establishment of this centre offers new opportunities for local residents to join the industry and assists employers in addressing the skills shortage, thereby providing the workforce the sector critically requires.

This opening is a part of Skills for Security's expanding national network, which already comprises locations in Warrington, Birmingham, Watford, Dagenham, Bristol, and Glasgow.
By extending its presence to South Yorkshire, the organization enhances regional training accessibility, minimizes travel requirements for both employers and learners, and boosts the overall training capacity of the sector.
