Security professionals now have more storage options to choose from when planning their IP video surveillance deployments, no matter the size of the project. Promise Technology, a developer of open storage platforms for video surveillance, announces at ASIS International that its two new network video recorder (NVR) storage servers, the Vess A2330 and A3340, are now available in North America.

The new solutions are featured in live demos together with a wide range of video management software (VMS) at Promise's product showcase at booth #3138 on the ASIS International show floor from September 12 - 14.

Surveillance Market Growth

Organizations are investing in protecting physical assets, keeping personnel from harm and maintaining site safety more than ever before. In fact, analysts expect the global IP video surveillance market to reach $61.3 billion by 2022, with North America accounting for the highest share of the overall market revenue. With video surveillance traffic on track increase tenfold by 2020, storing all of this data in a way that it can easily accessed, analyzed and retained for long periods of time is more important than ever.

Promise's Vess A2330 is a 2U 6-bay NVR that offers low latency recording for entry-level deployments of up to 35 cameras per system. The Vess A3340 is a powerful 2U 8-bay NVR designed for mid-sized surveillance deployments of up to 80 IP cameras.

Promise's award-winning line of Vess NVR appliances are purpose-built for video surveillance environments and feature a range of proprietary technologies that enable the systems to handle a much higher number of IP cameras than competing solutions. Additionally, Vess NVR appliances reduce support and equipment costs as there is no separate RAID storage unit to manage. This eliminates the need for a server, controller cards, external cables, and a separate storage enclosure.

Greater Flexibility And Performance

"Our new line-up of Vess NVRs brings greater flexibility, value and performance to security professionals," said John van den Elzen, general manager, Surveillance Business Unit, Promise Technology. "With the A2330 and A3340, we're ensuring that there is a Promise product for video surveillance projects of any size and in any environment."

The new Vess A2330 and A3340 NVRs are now available through the global network of Promise value added distributors and resellers.
