The prestigious 2024 UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) took place on 22 February 2024 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, UK, gathering hundreds of representatives from the UK security industry. 

The OSPAs, renowned for their recognition and reward of companies, people, and innovation across the security sector, showcased the industry’s remarkable achievements including those of NSI-approved companies, who were once again among the winners and finalists, claiming a notable 7 of 18 awards presented on the evening.

The UK OSPAs, part of a global awards scheme that takes place in 16 countries, maintain their credibility through a strict code of ethics with core values including independence and inclusivity.

This framework provides an opportunity for outstanding performers, whether buyers or suppliers, to be recognized and their successes celebrated. 

Finalists and winners

NSI congratulates all of the finalists and winners, including the 30 NSI-approved finalists who were shortlisted by the judges, with 89 nominations between them.

7 NSI-approved companies emerged as winners, exemplifying excellence in their respective categories: 

  • Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director: Amy Stanley – FGH Security 
  • Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding): First Response Group
  • Outstanding Customer Service Initiative: Front of House Initiative – Vigilant Security 
  • Outstanding Security Training Initiative: BBC Security Team Training Initiative - Mitie 
  • Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator: Karl Jordan – Lodge Service 
  • Outstanding Event Security Team: Event Security Team – Securigroup 
  • Outstanding Security Sustainability Award: CIS ESG Strategy 

Outstanding achievements and commitment

Richard Fogelman, NSI Chief Executive commented, “As one of the most respected events in the security calendar, the UK OSPAs play a crucial role in highlighting the outstanding achievements and commitment of those working in the UK’s electronic security and guarding services sectors."

He adds, "This year’s winners and finalists deserve commendation for their dedication to driving outstanding performance across the private security sector."
