IPVideo Corporation, a renowned provider of physical security solutions, including the award-winning HALO Smart Sensor and Sentry ERS Emergency Lockdown and Response System, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sohaib Shaikh as Director of Engineering.

With a diverse background in engineering, Shaikh joins IPVideo during a peak period of growth to lead its firmware and hardware development teams, and help drive technology innovation across all IPVideo product lines. 

Extensive industry experience

In his prior position, Shaikh served as Device Engineering Manager at Airgas where he led the company’s engineering and production teams in the development of next-generation telemetry devices.

Previously, Shaikh spent twelve-plus years at Otis Elevator Company where in his most recent role, he led the technician and design engineering teams to develop the company’s elevator position indicator portfolio of products. Earlier on, Shaikh was part of GE Consumer & Industrial’s Edison Engineering Development Program in test and design engineer roles.

Shaikh holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration. He will report to Frank Jacovino, IPVideo’s Vice President of Operations and Product Development.
