Employees from Hikvision USA Inc., a provider of security hardware equipment and software solutions, partnered with non-profit Mission 500 to raise funds during ISC West 2019, which took place April 10-12 in Las Vegas. Hikvision employees participated in the race and the company was the kilometre marker sponsor of Mission 500’s 10th annual Security 5/2K fundraising event. Hikvision also contributed funds to Mission 500 on behalf of Hikvision Partner Celebration attendees.

Team Hikvision consisted of 17 employees who raised a total of $1,660 for Mission 500, to help the organization provide food, core school supplies, clothing, and other essential items for children. Team Hikvision came in fifth out of 61 total fundraising teams.

Annual Partner Celebration

Every year we host our annual Partner Celebration at Tao Beach Las Vegas during ISC West, and this year we wanted to do something different. In lieu of the typical gift bags distributed to attendees, Hikvision decided to donate $860 to Mission 500 on behalf of all industry partners in attendance at the celebration—that will benefit children and families in need in the U.S.,” said Marianne Chew, Hikvision director of marketing.

Team Hikvision was enthusiastic to participate in the Security 5/2K again this year"

Team Hikvision was enthusiastic to participate in the Security 5/2K again this year, and to contribute funds for Mission 500’s milestone 10th anniversary race,” Chew added. Mission 500 is a non-profit organization that works with the security industry to serve the needs of children and communities in crisis.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Hikvision employees participated in several Mission 500 volunteer events over the past year including the November Puerto Rico service trip where Hikvision employees helped victims of Hurricane Maria rebuild their homes, a December kit building event for Title 1 school children in East Hartford, Conn., and the February Hockey Classic in Toronto.

This year’s Security 5/2K run was Mission 500’s most successful in our 10-year history. Thanks to the efforts of partners like Hikvision USA, we were able to raise record-breaking funds to help children and families. Thank you to Hikvision General Manager Eric Chen and the entire Hikvision team for being a leader of corporate social responsibility initiatives that support those in need,” said Tom Nolan, director of strategic partnerships for Mission 500.
