ISO 27001 standard
ISO 27001 is the recognized standard for information security management systems, established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission.
To achieve this certification, a company must pass 93 controls across four categories: organizational, physical, technological, and people controls. Certification to the ISO 27001 standard also requires continual improvement, with regular assessments to ensure compliance with the exacting standard.
