The KEES lock brings the security and convenience of iris biometrics to multi-unit residential properties and apartment buildings
The KEES residential door lock combines accuracy of iris biometrics with ease of a push-pull handle for simple keyless access

Korea Technology and Communications (KT&C), a leading provider of high definition surveillance and security solutions, and SRI International recently announced the launch of KEES™, an iris recognition door lock powered by SRI’s Iris on the Move® (IOM) technology. The product, developed for the residential security market, debuts at ISC West 2015, held April 15-17, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Combines Accuracy Of Iris Biometrics With Ease Of Push-Pull Handle

The KEES residential door lock combines the accuracy of iris biometrics with the ease of a push-pull handle for simple, keyless access at a glance—eliminating the need to fumble for keys, enter a PIN or put down the groceries. Traditional keypad-only door locks may recognize what has happened (i.e., a PIN code was entered), but do not confirm individual identity. The KEES lock brings the security and convenience of iris biometrics to multi-unit residential properties and apartment buildings.

“Building and property owners are increasingly challenged to deploy market-leading access control products and technology that do not place an undue burden on residents,” said H.S. Kwon, CEO, KT&C. “By creating a smart lock with SRI’s iris technology, we are able to extend a level of secure access previously reserved for business-critical and government facilities to the residential marketplace at a competitive price.”

“By collaborating with KT&C, we are incorporating leading iris biometric technology in a residential door lock for unparalleled convenience and security,” said Mark Clifton, president of the Products and Solutions Division at SRI International. “KEES marks a new level of access control for the residential sector. It demonstrates the growing viability of iris biometrics for more market applications.”

World Debut At ISC West 2015

ISC West attendees can view a demonstration of the KEES iris recognition door lock by visiting KT&C at booth #24109 and SRI International at booth #3089.
