| PSDN continues to encourage and strengthen the development of open systems interoperability |

"The expansion of PSDN is an integral component in our system solutions strategy that is elevating systems integration to enterprise-level applications."
Panasonic's redesigned website offers quick access and better support documentation for PSDN members and development partners. A third release of the Panasonic Security-Application Programming Interface v1.20.25 (PS-API) is also now available. PS-API is an all-new set of development tools for many of Panasonic's key video surveillance products, including i-Pro Series Network Cameras, Network Disk Recorders (NDRs) and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). Using the PS-API ensures compatibility of new and future Panasonic products with little or no development effort. Many PSDN members are already using the PS-API to further enhance their integration efforts including Electronic Access Control (EAC) manufacturers who are leveraging the interface to establish interoperability with major Panasonic video surveillance system products.
Recent announcements related to PSDN include:
- Pelco will support a broad selection of Panasonic i-Pro Series Network Cameras with the release of its Endura v2.1.
- Lenel has announced support for MPEG-4 video for most Panasonic i-Pro Series Network Cameras with the release of Lenel LNVR v6.3.249.
- Panasonic's newest i-Pro Series WV-NP502 and WV-NW502S H.264 Megapixel Cameras are quickly being embraced by PSDN members such as Milestone, OnSSI, Genetec, Exacq and Mirasys, and more manufacturers are expected to announce support for the new cameras in coming weeks.
Most recent additions to the global PSDN program include Pelco, American Dynamics, Orsus, DSX Access Systems, Avigilon, Next Level Security Systems, HIKVision, Synectic Systems, BriefCam, Aimetis, Airship/JDL Digital Systems, Axium Technologies and Genius Vision Digital.
