The new 635 DSI board includes two 485 ports to support 485 devices in a single or multi-drop configuration

Galaxy's Dual Serial Interface (DSI) is engineered to improve third party integration, enhancing user convenience

Galaxy Control Systems, a leading manufacturer of integrated access control, video and security solutions, is introducing a new dual serial interface for their 635 Series Controller at ASIS (booth #1591) this year. The 635 Dual Serial Interface (DSI) is engineered to improve third party integration, enhancing user convenience and ensuring interoperability with a multitude of manufacturers’ current and legacy hardware.

“As a fundamental component of our 635 Series Access Control Panel, our new dual serial interface is another example of Galaxy Systems’ commitment to provide technology solutions that deliver superior performance while protecting customers’ investments over time,” said Robert Laughlin, President, Galaxy Control Systems. “By enabling customers to build upon their legacy access control infrastructure with the latest technologies, Galaxy Control Systems provides a unique economic edge that benefits both end-users and installing dealers.”

Designed as a third party integration solution for access control devices utilizing 485 protocol, the new 635 DSI board includes two 485 ports to support 485 devices in a single or multi-drop configuration. The board supports wireless reader technology, relay controls, LCD displays and Galaxy 485 Remote DPI modules. With added support for multidrops, the new 635 DSI board allows more power connections and enhancements to be added to legacy systems.

The 635 Series Access Control Panel is available in four sizes and a rack mount version, and can be populated with any combination of controller boards including the new 635 DSI. A power supply is also housed in the chassis. All 635 Series boards are easy to replace, reducing service time.

Like all Galaxy Control Systems products, the new 635 Dual Serial Interface comes with an unconditional 2-year warranty.
