A five-year limited warranty and ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certification ensures lasting reliability
The Rixson 609's overhead positioning significantly reduces vandalism compared to a surface-applied closer

Rixson, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, is previewing a new overhead concealed closer  at AIA 2016 in Philadelphia. Launching in late 3rd quarter of this year, the Rixson 609 offers subtlety, security, and is available in 14 finishes.

Versatile Universal Design

While the closer is concealed in the header to reduce visual impact, it doesn’t compromise on versatility. The adjustable spring size (1-4) is able to meet a variety of force requirements to satisfy all ADA compliances. With a universal design to fit the most common door preps, the 609 can be used for glass, wood or metal door installations and has a positive stop at 90 or 105 degrees.

A five-year limited warranty and ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certification ensures lasting reliability.

Reducing Vandalism

As important as it is for a door opening to look cohesively designed, security is still paramount,” said Sandra Matheny, Director of Decorative Openings, ASSA ABLOY. “Thanks to its overhead positioning, the Rixson 609 significantly reduces vandalism compared to a surface-applied closer.”

AIA 2016 attendees can visit ASSA ABLOY at booth #2925 to browse dozens of decorative door opening solutions.
