The 19th Moscow International Protection, Security and Fire Safety Exhibition took place on 15-18 April 2013, Pavilion 75 of VVC in Moscow, Russia.

The MIPS 2013 exhibition space grew by over 10% to reach 11,581 sqm, and 491 companies from 26 countries presented their developments. The share of international companies increased considerably this year, and 20% of all exhibitors were newcomers to the show. The event was attended by 17,571 visitors from 46 countries and 71 Russian regions – an increase of 13.1% from 2012.

Stanislav Guchia, Business Development Director, Russia, CIS & Eastern Europe, Axis Communications states: "MIPS is the largest security exhibition in Russia, with a big number of regional visitors, which is good, as we don’t always have an opportunity to reach them ourselves. This year, there are new companies, new solutions, it is very positive. This exhibition is a very important place to meet with partners because together we provide a solution - and with partners we are much more powerful."

Prominent companies and market leaders were among the exhibitors, including: ASSA ABLOY, Axis Communications, Grundig Security, Dahua, HAVERCAMP, HID, Hikvision, Honeywell Life Safety, ITV, AxxonSoft, MOBOTIX, and many others.

Elmer Zhang, European Sales Director, Dahua Technology comments: "If you look round this pavilion, you will see the best companies in the security industry in Russia are here. The best people are here and we are able to talk to different people in different fields. We have met some representatives from government, police and professional installers and we have had some very interesting conversations."

The UK, China, Taiwan, newcomer Canada, and South Korea were represented from their national stands. High-tech optics were among the areas showcased by the South Korean national stand.
