In today’s news round-up, MOBOTIX has announced Gary McLoughlin of GM Security as the winner of its IFSEC 2013 global partner program prize draw, winning a MOBOTIX D15 Pano dual lens camera. In application news, Panasonic cameras have been used to broadcast a sell-out jazz show at Ronnie Scott’s in London. The broadcast was shot using discreetly positioned Panasonic AW-HE120 integrated remote video cameras and  AG-HPX250 P2 HD handheld camcorders. In corporate news, CNL Software has integrated its IPSecurityCenterTM PSIM with Avigilon’s Control Center video management system. Bringing Avigilon’s technology into IPSecurityCenter PSIM allows rich video to be complemented with data from all other connected systems, providing complete situation intelligence.

In other corporate news, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has appointed chairmen for most of its 20 sections of membership following its Annual General Meeting, which was held on Tuesday 16th July. Each chairman represents its section on the Association’s Council, meaning that every area of membership is fully engaged and involved in shaping the future of the Association. Finally, Y3K has completed an upgrade of the surveillance system at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace football club’s ground in South London. Earlier this year, Y3K won the contract to provide security equipment, including Xvision IR speed domes, DVRs and HD LED Plasma 50” monitors.
