The Security Industry Association’s officials are welcoming the US federal government’s move towards full implementation of secure ID cards for federal buildings and computer networks. Infinova has recently appointed Ciprian Suciu as the new Vice President, Sales-Europe. Suciu will be responsible for the entire range of Infinova products, including IP, megapixel and analogue surveillance cameras. Winners of the BSIA’s Annual Security Personnel Awards 2011 have been announced. The awards recognise vital contributions of those working in the security industry.

In application news, the Pelco Digital Sentry platform is at the core of a Pennsylvania 911 emergency centre technology upgrade.
