In today’s news round-up, IdenTrust® (part of HID Global®) announced that it has achieved U.S. Federal Bridge Authority (US FBCA) cross-certification at Basic, Medium Software, Medium Hardware, and PIV-I Assurance levels with its IGC PKI certificate. IGC PKI certificates are a critical component of converged physical and logical access credentials that are compliant with PIV-I and PIV-C standards. In other news, Pelco recently announced that they are strengthening their relationship with Avaya to deliver superior performance and simplicity to IP video security and surveillance customers. This global alliance partnership will enable deeper collaboration on technology development and interoperability, providing customers with a network platform optimised for demanding video surveillance systems.

In the UK, the British Security Industry Association has announced that the Business Crime Conference will take place in London this November. The event will give businesses the opportunity to learn more about reducing their security risk. Over in Germany, ONVIF recently hosted its 11th Developers’ Plugfest. With record numbers of interoperability implementations and multiple testings of ONVIF conformant video, access control and edge devices, this year’s Developers’ Plugfest was the most fruitful in ONVIF’s history.
