In today’s news round-up, the HDcctv Alliance is announcing a new global standard of HD analogue, HDCVI 2.0, which is based on Dahua’s HDCVI technology. The standard aims to provide a stringent level of certification among manufacturers. As the HDCVI technology inventor and patent owner, Dahua introduced the milestones of the HDCVI development. Also in corporate news, IDIS has formed a technology partnership with wireless networking solutions specialist SilverNet. The partnership has seen customers utilising SilverNet’s products to deliver wirelessly networked DirectIP™ surveillance solutions to deliver tangible cost savings.

Also announcing a new technology partnership are Videalert and Wavestore. The partnership will enhance the level of interoperability achieved between Videalert’s Intelligent Digital Video Platform and Wavestore’s video management software. In events news, SALTO is set to exhibit at Transport Security Expo in London from Tuesday 2nd December to Wednesday 3rd December 2014. In application news, Raytec has installed its VARIO i8-3 infrared lighting solution for a residential client in Vancouver. The illuminators deliver enhanced, even illumination allowing camera systems to provide the very best images at night.

Over in the US, Galaxy Control Systems has appointed David Terrill as Global Application Engineer for the West. David will lead dealer training and technical support programs, as well as on-site training and technical support initiatives. In events news, Meyertech will demonstrate its FUSION-Eclipse video management software at Milipol 2014 in Qatar from 20th-22nd October. In today’s news round-up, Axis Communications and Wavestore have formed a new technology partnership which will see full interoperability between their respective video solutions. The partnership has so far provided clothing retailer SuperGroup with a new solution to replace its outdated legacy video surveillance systems. In application news, Alpro Architectural Hardware door closers have been installed at The Philip Morant School and College in Colchester, UK. Alpro’s overhead transom closers used on the school doors are a means of hydraulically controlling the opening and closing of an aluminium door.

Over in Nigeria, Trüb has supplied new multi-purpose e-ID cards to the country. The card is a combination of a national Identity Card and a MasterCard.
