Looking back at the top stories of the week, we begin with some events news. At the much-anticipated IFSEC 2011, Samsung will be showing off its ‘Samsung City’ concept on its largest booth ever. Basler announced that it will be featuring its new fixed IP domes with audio functionality at the upcoming ISC West 2011. The ISE 2011 show proved to be a great success this year as it attracted a record 34,870 industry professionals. Pivot3 has joined forces with Genetec and Arecont Vision to host a series of one-day educational events throughout Europe to provide an opportunity to learn about the benefits of an integrated IP solution.
In other news, ADT’s electronic fire and security solutions were installed at Dublin Airport’s new Terminal 2 (T2) to enable visitors to stay safe and have a pleasant experience travelling through the airport. Raytec is in high spirits as its CCTV lighting series has been chosen as IFSEC 2010 Awards finalist in the CCTV Camera Equipment of the Year category. The PRO series PSU is the latest addition to Raytec’s range of specialist PSUs. Also to showcase its new residential security solution at the show will be Electronics Line 3000.
Organisers of the Transport Security Expo 2010 have announced a change of venue. The show will take place at the prestigious Olympia Exhibition Centre in London from this year. This move comes two years ahead of the capital playing host to the 2012 Olympic Games and at a time when organisers are shifting into top gear to ensure the safety and security of the Games.
For those interested in security in gaming markets, G2E Asia 2010 will be the placed to be. The show will equip attendees with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive business environment.
Lastly, in Singapore CEM Systems security management system has been chosen to secure access to Nucles Connect’s Central offices. The contract was awarded to Tyco Singapore, who installed the CEM AC2000 Lite systems.
