To begin our weekly round-up, we start with the latest from ISC West 2011. At the show, SightLogix is showcasing its latest automated outdoor video analytics system. Avigilon has opted to highlight its Network Video Management Software Application. For those interested in energy-efficient solutions, HID is introducing its new eco-friendly product portfolio. In corporate news, following a merger with TKH Group, Optelecom-NKF has been renamed; in the EMEA market it will be known as Siqura B.V. and in the Americas it will be known as TKH Security Solutions USA Inc.

In a deal worth $3.5 million, March Networks’ intelligent IP video solution has been selected to be installed in 7,000 bank branches. Chubb has installed ADPRO PRO series detectors from Xtralis to enhance security at a leading sofa and furniture business. On today’s news round-up, Chubb has installed ADPRO PRO series detectors from Xtralis to enhance security at a leading sofa and furniture business. New names are in order for Optelecom-NKF following a merger with the Dutch company, TKH Group. In the EMEA market it will be known as Siqura B.V. and to effectively market the existing Siqura and Optelecom brands as well as the TKH Security Solutions offering in the Americas, the Optelecom-NKF US office will be renamed as TKH Security Solutions USA Inc.

Those attending the ISC West show this week will be able see Pelco’s new range of surveillance products at their stand. Also at the show, Dortronics Systems, Inc. will be featuring its extensive line of door control solutions. On today’s round-up, Surveon is set to highlight its end-to-end megapixel solutions at ISC West 2011 with the introduction of its line of WDR 3-megapixel IP cameras, Hardware-RAID MegapixelNVR and Enterprise VMS 2.4. At this year’s IFSEC 2011, TAB Systems will be showcasing its portable access control, presence tracking and building automation solution – smarti Hybrid. Over in Manchester Airport, CodeStuff has been drafted in to help the airport to upgrade its analogue CCTV system to a fully digital core.

Dedicated Micros are on course to receive a Security Excellence Award for its groundbreaking Closed IPTV IP video product solution. For those interested in HD megapixel solutions, IQinVision joined the PSA’s Vendor Programme to make its products more accessible to customers.

First in IFSEC news, MindTree have announced that they will be unveiling the largest portfolio of ready-to-brand video surveillance solutions at the show. Thermal imaging solution from Irisys and Qnap’s new Network Video Recorder models will also take centre stage at the show.

The security industry is gearing up for one of the biggest tradeshows in the security calendar – only three weeks away. On today’s news we have more pre-IFSEC announcements to give you an idea of what to look forward to. Also in the round up are a selection of corporate news articles.

Vicon will be one of the many manufacturers exhibiting its DVR, hybrid and NVR products. On show will be the groundbreaking new Virtual Matrix Display Controller (VMDC) which takes control room management and display of IP camera streams to new levels.  For TAB Systems it could be another win, as it has been shortlisted yet again for the access control category of the IFSEC 2010 Awards.

On the move CitySync has gained new headquarters based in Welwyn Garden City and the premises are significantly larger.  Unisto seals the deal with G4S as its security seals provide the ideal solution for cash processing.
