More inter partes review proceedings requested by MOBOTIX Corp. challenging e-Watch Inc.’s patents are pending at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In events news, Dahua Technology is introducing its HDCVI Gen II cameras at Security China 2014, which opened this week Beijing. The HDCVI Gen II camera features a high performance sensor and Dahua in-house chipset DH5000, which combines Image Signal Processor (ISP) and TX chipset. In today’s weekly news round-up, MOBOTIX presented its new i25 compact sized Hemispheric camera at ASIS International 2014. The wall mountable i25 captures an entire room with 180° wall-to-wall view, without any blind spots. Over at booth number 2411, Avigilon displayed its latest release of the Avigilon Control Center (ACC) software. The Control Center 5.4 software enables complete video analytics configuration and management support for Avigilon’s HD Dome and HD Bullet cameras.

In today’s weekly news round-up, MOBOTIX AG has provided Leeds City College with a security system which will help secure access to critical data centres and communication rooms across multiple sites. Twenty MOBOTIX cameras have so far been installed across college sites including a number of Q24 and Q25 hemispheric models. In corporate news, Dahua Technology has the 2nd largest market share in video surveillance according a report by IHS. Dahua’s global market share in terms of DVR and network security cameras were ranked as runner-up and 4th place respectively.
