In today’s news round-up, G4S will be giving away iPads to 10 attendees at this year’s ASIS 2012 show. Winners will be drawn daily from those who complete the G4S Puzzle Game. Lumidigm has announced Innometriks Inc. will be demonstrating its Rhino reader which utilises Lumidigm fingerprint biometrics to handle high security authentication applications. Videx will also be at the show, exhibiting its CyberKey Vault Management system.

At the Essen Security show, taking place from the 25th to the 28th of September 2012, Heitel and Xtralis will be showcasing several new security solutions, including the HeiTel VideoGateway series and VESDA –  the world’s leading brand of very early warning smoke detector. Lastly, HID Global has announced that it has entered into an agreement with RedCloud, provider of web-based physical access control systems. Also in corporate news, OnSSI has announced that Seneca’s xVault server has been optimised for use with OnSSI’s Ocularis video surveillance software. Over in Africa, CEM Systems, part of Tyco Security Products, has announced that it has been selected to secure Radio/ TV Gotel in Yola, Nigeria. Back in Europe, the Glückstadt-based ferry line has installed an IP solution featuring Basler IP cameras and video gateways from HeiTel to monitor traffic volumes waiting at the dock for ferry service.
