In today’s news round-up, Traka has installed a smart access management system at one of the UK’s leading rail companies, Southeastern. Traka developed a bespoke access management system in which keys are permanently attached to an iFob, which locks into an automated key dispensing machine. In corporate news, Genetec recently announced a new partnership with automated payment systems manufacturer VenTek. Together, Genetec and VenTek now offer seamless integration between the VenTek Pay-by-License (PBL) solution and Genetec AutoVu, the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

In other corporate news, ONVIF recently hosted its annual membership meeting. Attendees heard presentations on ONVIF successes from 2014 and an outline of new initiatives for 2015, such as the planned release of Profile Q and a new client test tool. Matrox recently announced the 20th anniversary of its core desktop management software Matrox PowerDesk™ that lets users of Matrox graphics cards, external multi-display adapters and display wall products easily configure and manage multi-monitor setups.
