In today’s news round-up, Milestone XProtect open platform video management software is the basis for an integrated security system in the Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS). Each school previously had a stand-alone system, which were upgraded to a single IP network connecting all 26 TCAPS buildings in the district. In corporate news, Brickcom Corporation has announced a new distribution partnership with Electro Base Ltd. The two companies will work together to distribute Brickcom IP surveillance products in the Baltic Area.

In other corporate news, a recent IHS study found that the residential sector accounted for 40.7% of the $2.7 billion global intruder alarm market in 2012. Over in Saudi Arabia, CEM Systems has recently announced that the CEM AC2000 security management system has been installed at Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries’ main base. Finally, ZeitControl cardsystems GmbH is contributing the BasicCard RFID to a project run by the German National Transportation Agency.
