In today’s news round-up, TDSi has announced the winners of its 2014 Partner Awards. Sovereign Fire and Security was named UK Platinum Partner of the Year while Romania-based Siel Invest was named as Export Partner of the Year. In events news, Teleste will exhibit its headend and CATV solutions at IBC2014 in Amsterdam from the 12th-16th September. Among the products being exhibited by Teleste are the Luminato headend platform and the Optimo encoding and transcoding solution.

In other events news, ASSA ABLOY UK will be showcasing its remote door opening solutions at this year’s Education Facilities Forum being held in Oxfordshire from the 17th-18th November 2014. ASSA ABLOY, Security Solutions and ASSA ABLOY, Access Control will showcase a range of SMARTair™ and CLIQ™ solutions tailored for the education market. Over in the US, American Dynamics’ video security solutions have been selected by Cherokee County School District (CCSD) to secure its schools and other facilities. CCSD selected the VideoEdge hybrid recording platform to allow the school district to upgrade and grow its surveillance security system gradually. Finally, G4S Technology recently hosted a roundtable discussion on systems integration within the security industry. The discussion, “Security System Integration in the Utility Sector: Balance between Detection and Protection”, was led by Kevin Glynn, Director, Energy Sector at G4S Technology.
