In today’s weekly round-up, ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire Digi Electronic Lock, the leading digital door lock manufacturer in China. The acquisition is another strategic step in ASSA ABLOY’s expansion into new growth segments in China and other emerging markets. In corporate news, Milestone Systems has elevated Samsung Techwin to the status of Elite Partner in the Milestone Camera Partner Program (CaPP). Samsung is only one of eight Milestone camera partners in the world to achieve this status.

Also in corporate news, BCDVideo has announced the new certification of Johnson Controls’ P2000 video management system on their Nova Series line of enterprise-class storage solutions. In events news, LTV will begin its two week roadshow across Germany in May 2015, showcasing its wide product range and complete product portfolio for small and big installations. Finally, Foxstream has announced a partnership with Samsung Techwin. On today’s news round-up, Opgal Optronics Industries will be showcasing its innovative line of advanced thermal camera and imaging solutions at IFSEC 2012, taking place next week. Axis Communications has also announced that it will be demonstrating how it is leading the way in convergence from analogue to IP CCTV at the show. For those on the look-out for new access control solutions at IFSEC, Idesco will be presenting its new innovative AESCO security package.

In other news, MOBOTIX has announced the Group’s key figures in accordance with IFRS for the first half of fiscal year 2011/12 (October 1, 2011 to  March 31, 2012) ahead of time. In the current fiscal year 2011/12, the MOBOTIX Group recorded a strong second quarter with revenue growth of 18% compared to the prior year. On today’s news round-up, Milestone Systems’ IP video management software has been deployed at Western Kentucky University to enhance security and enable the university to expand and customise the system for growing requirements over the coming years. In New Jersey, “Buddy” Valastro, owner of the famous Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ has chosen Interlogix to secure a new 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse. At the East Midlands Airport in the UK, IndigoVision’s end-to-end IP Video surveillance system has been installed to provide the airport with more detailed analysis and greater storage of video surveillance footage.

In other news, Traka has announced that it has been acquired by ASSA ABLOY. The Traka management team will continue in their current positions with full responsibility for the future growth and development of the business.
