In today’s weekly news round-up, HID Global has joined forces with DLRS Group and X INFOTECH to develop and implement the newly designed Irish electronic passport (e-passport). Working together, the companies are providing an end-to-end solution including e-passport delivery, personalisation and production management. Over in Denmark,  Milestone’s XProtect IP video surveillance software has been installed in the city of Alleroed to reduce crime and violent activity throughout the city. The software allows for the streaming of surveillance footage through Milestone’s mobile client.

In application news, Genetec recently announced that its new cloud-based video monitoring service, Stratocast, is offering restaurants throughout North America an affordable way to help them safeguard their patrons and inventory. The software allows restaurant owners to keep an eye on who is coming and going, and ensure the well-being of diners and staff. In corporate news, AxxonSoft celebrated the grand opening of its office in Poland with a special conference to commemorate the event. Finally, AG Neovo’s SX-19P displays are being used aboard a Taiwanese fleet of deep-sea fishing vessels. The displays were chosen for their durability, thanks to their IP22 housing protection. Read more security news…
