In today’s news round-up, Milestone Systems has implemented its XProtect® video management software throughout a chain of KFC, Pizza Hut, Carl’s Jr and Starbucks locations in New Zealand. The installations were introduced to reduce the number of thefts and measure the day-to-day operations efficiently. In corporate news, OnSSI has received the Axis Communications 2014 Application Development Partner (ADP) award in the Caribbean region. Customers have recognised the strength of pairing the reliability of the Ocularis software with the Axis IP cameras.

Over in Sweden, Automatic Systems has supplied traffic barriers to the Norra länken motorway project through its local partner Swarco. The barriers are integrated within the sophisticated traffic control and security systems deployed in the region and nationwide. Also in application news, Idesco has deployed a one-of-a-kind combined access control and rescue control system designed specifically for mining environments as part of Pyhäsalmi Mine’s ongoing effort to improve work safety.
