With the largest annual security event just a week away, we kick-off today’s round-up with some more pre-IFSEC updates. Urmet will be displaying its range of products at IFSEC, which will include network security solutions. Also on show will be an array of modern, functional security solutions designed for protecting residential properties from Optex Europe. For those interested in storage solutions, Promise Technology will be showcasing its range of professional RAID storage systems, optimised for storing huge data streams within video surveillance projects of any size.

To start off today’s round-up, we have news from CBC Ganz, who has supplied a Ganz Radar Vision tracking/surveillance early warning detection system to protect Porto Airport in northern Portugal. Those attending Counter Terror Expo this week will be able to visit the G4S stand where it will be showcasing its range of security solutions expertise from specialist training to the protection and management of critical infrastructure. Looking back at ISC West 2011, the second Mission 500 Security 5K Race proved to be a great success, as it raised more than $80,000 to sponsor children in need through the World Vision organisation. Arecont Vision also launched its new Advanced Channel Partner Certification at the show to further educate security professionals on how to effectively design video surveillance systems.
