To start off the news round-up, we begin with Abloy UK, who will be demonstrating their electromechanical product portfolio at this year’s IFSEC tradeshow. Taking place in Vienna this week is the 10th ASIS International European Security Conference & Exhibition. The show is expected to attract around 400 senior security professionals. Organisers of ITEC 2011 have reported that it is set to become a major platform for safety and security discussions for military experts.

In other news, Trub, a provider of tachograph smart cards, has announce that it has been chosen to supply smart cards to Macedonia, Moldavia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, making it the market leader for the tachograph smart cards first introduced in 2004. Lastly, CNL software and megatel, a leading developer of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the Aviation Industry and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), have joined forces to work on a Middle Eastern project. We begin the news round-up with Milestone, who is riding high as its ninth annual Milestone Integration Partner Symposium (MIPS) conference, held in San Antonio, Texas, attracts over 200 industry professionals. In northern Italy, March Networks’ IP video solution has been chosen to enhance surveillance across 14 major toll motorways. As part of a major overhaul of its CCTV surveillance infrastructure, North East Lincolnshire Council in the UK has opted for Bosch Security Systems to upgrade its new surveillance network.

In other news, Wavestore and CNL have entered into a technological partnership to separate distributed video intelligence from proprietary technology.
