In today’s news round-up, IHS reported that global unit shipments of smart cards are expected to rise by 2.1 billion from 2014 through 2019 — about equal to the combined populations of China, the United States, Indonesia and Brazil. With the launch of this product, Western Digital expressed its aim to become “The surveillance storage brand”.  In events news, Delta Scientific will be showcasing its new HD300 barrier at ISC West 2014.
