Over in Brazil, ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to acquire lock company Silvana and steel fire door company Metalika. The acquisitions significantly increase the Group’s footprint in Brazil. Also recently merged are Tyco International Ltd. and Tyco International plc, a company incorporated under the laws of Ireland. As a result of the merger, each shareholder of Tyco International Ltd. received one share of Tyco International plc for each share of Tyco International Ltd. held immediately prior to the merger. Finally, in events news, OPTEX will be exhibiting its complete detection and access control solutions at the upcoming Transport Security Expo next week.
