In today’s weekly news round-up, HID Global will unveil its new entry level card personalisation solutions at CARTES & IDentification in Paris, which takes place next week. At the show, HID will also showcase its range of secure card issuance and government-to-citizen ID solutions. In corporate news, Nedap has announced a partnership with Gulfnet Communications. The companies will work together to combine Nedap’s AEOS solution with Gulfnet’s IT knowledge on multiple projects in the Kuwaiti market.

In application news, Surveon’s 3-megapixel cameras have been chosen to upgrade inner-city surveillance in one of Southern Taiwan’s major urban centres. Surveon cameras offer advanced features including offline recording and advanced profile image settings. Over in Mexico, Vicon and Axis Communications recently collaborated at an event held in Mexico City. The collaboration provided an opportunity for Vicon to demonstrate its open platform video management system and its compatibility with Axis cameras. Finally, an access control solution from ACT has been deployed on two bridge crossings between England and Wales.
