In today’s news round-up, Cathexis has integrated Axis Communications’ network video products into its CatVision IP VMS. CatVision will be launched to the UK and wider European markets at IFSEC 2013. Also at IFSEC, Panasonic Professional will introduce a brand new range of surveillance solutions. Panasonic will demonstrate enhanced Business Intelligence Video System (BIVS) analytics making it possible for businesses to both deploy surveillance and to gain real-time insight into business activities driving greater ROI and enhancing commercial success.

In applications news, communication solutions from Hytera have been used to secure the City of Cachoeirinha in Brazil. Hytera’s professional dispatcher system, SmartDispatch, and portable and mobile terminals PD78X/MD78X were deployed across the city. In events news, Response Electronics will launch a new range of home security products at IFSEC 2013. The miGuard range is packed with the latest technology including RFID tags for family members and keyholders, remote interface via iPhone/Android app, and GSM/SMS alerts. In today’s news round-up, Cathexis will demonstrate its latest VMS integration on Canon’s stand at IFSEC 2013. Cathexis has integrated the new range of Canon Full HD IP cameras into its CatVision video management software suite. In corporate news, Oncam Grandeye has appointed Paul Such as Vice President of Sales for Europe and the Middle East (EMEA). In today’s news round-up, Tyco Security Products will introduce several new products at IFSEC 2013. Leading the innovation charge for the company is a new feature-rich hybrid intrusion platform from DSC. PowerSeries Neo redefines intrusion security by combining the flexibility of a modular, hardwired system with the simplicity of wireless devices. In corporate news, Skyguard has announced significant business growth in 2012. The board is delighted with this achievement which follows the investment of several million pounds in service infrastructure, new technology and product development.

In other corporate news, staff members at Octavian Security have been trained in counter-terrorism measures and crime prevention. The company, which provides protection to businesses, sites and people across the UK, arranged for more than 50 Security Officers to undertake the specialist session alongside Nottinghamshire Police. In application news, Lumidigm fingerprint readers will replace the biometric system used at registration stations at the Ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge. A selection of over 200 E100 escutcheons and C100 cylinder platforms have been fitted to date, with every i2 Office across the UK anticipated to install Aperio access control.
