In today’s news round-up, at the recent IFSEC tradeshow at London’s ExCeL, ASSA ABLOY’s key highlights included its battery powered online and offline locks, cylinders and escutcheons from the revolutionary Aperio® wireless locking technology portfolio. The products were also featured on 16 other OEM partner stands at the show. Panasonic also took the opportunity to showcase a range of its surveillance solutions, including the WJ-NV300 stand-alone recorder, which provides full feature IP video surveillance including viewing, recording, alarming, searching, networking and management.

In application news, VIVOTEK’s IP-based surveillance solution has been installed in a luxurious 5-star hotel located in the busy central business and finance district in Taipei City, Taiwan. To protect its guests and assets, the Landis Taipei Hotel deployed VIVOTEK’s video management software and 5 VIVOTEK camera models, including the Fisheye Fixed Dome Network Camera, Fixed Dome Network Camera, and Fixed Network Camera. In the UK, Green Gate Access Systems has completed the installation of a solar powered double gate automation project at Agrivert, a waste management solutions company. The solution has given Agrivert the ability to operate their gates remotely and provide an intercom system to a remote out of hours phone for visitors to the plant. Lastly, IndigoVision’s German team demonstrated the benefits of its IP video security solution to an exclusive audience in Munich. In today’s weekly news round-up, Netgenium Systems has become the first access control specialist to integrate with ASSA ABLOY Access Control’s Aperio locking solutions. ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio is designed to upgrade mechanically locked doors and wirelessly connect them online or offline to new or existing access control systems. In application news, MOBOTIX has released details of a successful implementation of its T24 Door Station technology at the prestigious City Harbour development in London Docklands. The T24 video entry phone units are connected via an internal IP network to deliver bi-directional audio and high resolution colour video to Grandstream IP based video phones within each apartment.

In other application news, Genetec has announced that Europe’s busiest exhibition centre, the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, has recently completed installation of Genetec’s Security Center as its unified security platform. By choosing Security Center, the NEC was able to integrate its video surveillance with Genetec Omnicast, and traffic management with Genetec AutoVu. In corporate news, The Arecont Vision Technology Partner of the Year for 2012 has now been presented to Milestone in all three regions of the world. The awards acknowledge the strength in the companies’ collaborative efforts in the growing market for megapixel IP network video surveillance solutions. Finally, SALTO Systems been recognised by IMS Research as the 8th largest access control company worldwide. According to the IMS report named “The World Market for Access Control Equipment – 2013 Edition”, SALTO has solidly broken into the ranks of the world’s top ten access control companies.
