The CISA eSIGNO Contactless Lock range allows guests to unlock their doors by simply holding a card up to the reader. Over in the US, VidSys will demonstrate its latest award winning software at ASIS International 2014 in Atlanta. The 7.7 version includes National Language Support, meaning the software can be easily adapted to various languages without code changes. In today’s news round-up, Arecont Vision is creating a heightened industry focus on the company’s innovative MegaLab system integration testing facilities in Los Angeles, California. Three certification tests are offered through MegaLab including camera integration, feature integration and load testing. Also in corporate news, Wavestore has announced that it has signed an agreement with Norbain that will allow Norbain to distribute Wavestore’s hardware based solutions throughout the EMEA region.

In application news, IndigoVision has been chosen to provide an updated security surveillance system for the Royal Docks Management Agency, responsible for the security of one of the largest enclosed docks in the world. In events news, Lenel Systems will present Prism, its open IP video management solution (VMS), at this year’s IFSEC International. The award recognises Arecont Vision for demonstrating excellence in contributing to ADI’s growth and success. Arecont Vision received the award at the Vendor Symposium at ADI’s 2014 Kickoff Meeting. In application news, Down Hall, one of England’s most established country house hotels, has installed IDIS DirectIP to upgrade from its existing analogue CCTV system. The first phase of the project included upgrading 70 cameras across the Down Hall estate with a full-HD solution comprised of a range of DirectIP mega-pixel cameras, network video recorders (NVR), bundled video management software, and network switches.

In events news, HID Global has won the Most Innovative Use of RFID Technology award in the AIM 2014 RFID Case Study competition for its solution that combines RFID tags with NFC-enabled smartphones at Bodega Norton Winery in Argentina. HID Trusted Tag™ Services was also a finalist for Best in Show. In corporate news, VIVOTEK has announced successful integration of two of its latest security solution technologies with AxxonSoft’s widely used Axxon Next video management software (VMS), which has enhanced the agility and scalability of VIVOTEK’s Panoramic PTZ solutions.  Finally, Genetec has recently announced that the 82,500 seat MetLife Stadium in New Jersey has installed the Genetec Security Center system as part of a security upgrade. The Stadium, which is home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets American Football teams, is one of the largest outdoor sports and entertainment venues in the US.
