On today’s news round-up, the Security Industry Association (SIA) has been seeking nominations for judges for the 2012 SIA New Product Showcase (NPS) at ISC West, which will be held end of March in Las Vegas. Over in the UAE, Tetra World Congress 2012 has been developing and shaping its busy agenda. The theme for the 14th annual Congress is ‘Delivering Critical Communications Today And Tomorrow’ and will be taking place in Dubai at the end of May. Also in the security calendar is the Airport Security Asia 2012 show taking place on the 27th and 28th of February at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Attendees will be discussing security related issues post 9/11.

In corporate news, Opengear has announced a new distribution agreement with Hardware.com in order to extend its market reach across the UK.
