In today’s news round-up, Hikvision has been selected to provide comprehensive security solutions to safeguard the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Hundreds of Hikvision megapixel network cameras and speed domes have been successfully applied to ensure a safer environment for local citizens and visiting tourists. In application news, HID Global’s physical access control solutions have been deployed by Norway Post. Norway Post deployed Genuine HID® multiCLASS SE® readers and multi-technology cards at its Robsrud Terminal, from where more than 60 percent of all the mail in Norway is handled.

In corporate news, Agent Vi is offering a free online training and certification program for its new savVi video analytics platform. The program includes 6 hours of online content including an online certification exam that will grant the trainees a “Certified” status. Johan Molin, the company’s President and CEO, says this result is due to the ASSA ABLOY’s substantial investments in innovation over the past seven years. In corporate news, MOBOTIX has reported growth in its revenue and earnings before interest and taxes for the 2012/2013 fiscal year. In the third quarter of the current fiscal year, the group achieved a 15.1% growth in revenue from last year to €22.2 million, with an EBIT margin of nearly 21%.
