In today’s news round-up, VIVOTEK network surveillance cameras and Exacq video management software have been deployed at the Prairie Hill School District in Illinois. The security team at Prairie Hill School District are now able to manage and monitor the recorded high definition video captured by 196 VIVOTEK cameras using the Exacq software. Over in Germany, AxxonSoft will showcase its video management software at Security Essen 2014. AxxonSoft will feature the Axxon Next VMS and the Axxon Intellect PSIM software platform.

In corporate news, The Mercury Group has become a Honeywell Authorised Dealer for Commercial Security Systems (CSS). The Mercury Group offers a wide range of security technology, including perimeter protection systems, video surveillance and management software. In application news, ACTi’s Mobile Vehicle solution is ensuring a safer environment on public transport. The solution provides active monitoring and displaying of live feeds in-vehicle to deter criminal activity. Finally, Airbus Defence and Space has provided the Indonesian Air Force with aircraft identification and air surveillance equipment. The company has delivered two of its MSSR 2000 I radars to equip the mobile air surveillance and tracking systems of the Indonesian Air Force. In today’s news round-up, VIVOTEK megapixel cameras have been deployed at Assan Motor and Atlas Khodro offices and showrooms in Iran to help improve their surveillance systems. Following the completion of the installation in February this year, both companies are very pleased with the high image quality of the VIVOTEK cameras and the improvements they have made to the surveillance system as a whole. In the UK, NW Systems video streaming and video monitoring & recording services have been selected by one of the UK’s most respected property development groups, Argent LLP, to provide live and recorded images to the King’s Cross development project in London. Images from selected cameras are simultaneously being streamed using NW Systems’ Steamdays 2 live streaming service to help stimulate engagement and meet the public’s interest in the development project.

In today’s news round-up, Nedap has announced the integration of the Honeywell NOTIFIER fire alarm system within its security management platform AEOS. The integration is beneficial as it enables users to react faster in case of a fire alarm and allows for an automatic response to events. In application news, SALTO Certificated Partner, Allgood plc, has provided an integrated security system to Pioneer School in Basildon, Essex, which specialises in teaching students with severe disabilities. The task which was to provide a secure environment without restricting the movement of students within the building was met with Allgood’s system of access control, ironmongery, automated doors and CCTV.

In other application news, Lumidigm has announced that its security products have been deployed at the South Korea’s busiest airports and seaports. The state-of-the-art immigration clearance process features SMARTCORE multi-biometric acquisition stations using Lumidigm multispectral imaging sensors, which scan both index fingers of a traveller simultaneously. Over in New Zealand, an ACTi and Exacq Technologies integrated security system has been installed at a local tavern. The Duke of Gloucester was fitted with KCM-3311*18 units and KCM-5611*6 units, running on ExacqVision software, for indoor and outdoor monitoring.
