In today’s news round-up, Axis Communications has announced that security industry veteran Geoffrey Bauer has joined the company as Program Manager for the North American Architecture & Engineering Program. Geoffrey will manage Axis’ programmes for the architectural, engineering and professional security consultant communities. In events news, the BSIA’s South East Business Crime Conference, which took place in Brighton last week, saw over 130 delegates in attendance, with 22 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of security products and services to aid local businesses in reducing the risks of business crime.

In application news, ISM has announced two additional high-rise installations in south London tower blocks at Amesbury and Durrington. Working in conjunction with installation partner SCCI Alphatrack, ISM designed, supplied and commissioned the project for Lambeth Living, one of London’s largest housing associations. Over in France, INSIDE Secure announced that Bart Stevens, the company’s Director of Product Management, was a featured speaker at the IP-SoC 2013 Embedded Systems Conference and Exhibition, which concluded yesterday in Grenoble. The conference aims to provide a dedicated forum for information destruction professionals to share best practice. As the industry prepares for Security Essen 2010, we bring you the latest news from it. Members of the British Security Industry Association will be showcasing an exclusive preview of the access control systems at the show, while ONVIF has confirmed that it will be hosting a demonstration of interoperable IP surveillance products there on October 7. In addition, ABUS will introduce two new network digital recorders at the show.
